A decade of particle physics

Progress over the last ten years and prospects for the next.

Abstract

I will summarise the major experimental discoveries in particle
physics over the last decade or so, including precision physics at
LEP & SLD, the proton structure at HERA, matter-antimatter asymmetry
in the b system and the discovery of neutrino mass. I will then review
the status of the LHC project and end by looking at the next big step in
experimental particle physics - the International Linear Collider.
